This was Jak's debut year in playing Soccer and he did pretty good. Although for some reason he thought it was good to fall to the ground as you kick and that you should hold the pose for a bit. It was pretty entertaining.

Soccer Saturdays
Alas, Soccer Saturdays are finally
Morgan seemed to enjoy his season and I think he found his strong point is as defender, he seemed to shine the most at that position. He did play all positions and mananged to score a few times. He was playing on a team the was the age group ahead of him because their wasn't any teams in our area for his age group for spring and I didn't really feel driving him 15 miles each way every practice (which is twice a week.) Although He was playing with older kids and his coach had higher expectations than he was used to, I think it ended up being a good experience for him and he learned a lot.
Playin hooky
So Earlier in the spring (I can't remember specifically when--that's how behind on blogging I am!), I'm thinking it was early March, I let the boys play hooky so we could go watch Micah fly in to do a static display at a local school in the area. It was really fun and Morgan got to miss over half of his school day which made him very happy! They landed in the middle of the track and their were PE students running around the track, apparently the PE teacher wasn't too savy on the occasion because she didn't tell them to clear the track or anything. Micah and his backseater circled the area for about 5 min waiting for them to clear which wasn't happening, so they just decided to land and figured everyone would get the hint. Well, most of the poor middle school kids did and started fleeing for their lives but their were a few that thought they would be ok, and tried to keep jogging until the rotor wind became just too much and they finally decided maybe it wasn't a good idea to be that close to a helicopter while it was landing. It was sort of funny in a twisted sort of "I feel sorry that they just didn't figure it out" kind of way.
